<p paraeid="{b6f3c831-be7c-4240-b793-9531a9212e91}{150}" paraid="864131890" style="text-align: justify;">The <strong>International Conference on Research in Languages, Technology and Education</strong> aims to bring together researchers interested in the intersection between language teaching, active methodologies and technology. </p>

<p paraeid="{b6f3c831-be7c-4240-b793-9531a9212e91}{160}" paraid="237742593" style="text-align: justify;">The main objectives of the conference are: (1) to show how active methodologies and emerging technologies can promote the development of language skills; and (2) to encourage the exchange of original research addressing language teaching and education in diverse contexts from critical, inclusive and socially responsible perspectives. </p>

<p paraeid="{b6f3c831-be7c-4240-b793-9531a9212e91}{170}" paraid="1009098205" style="text-align: justify;">We anticipate a collective reflection on key themes such as second language teaching, the evaluation of bilingual/multilingual programmes, translation and interpreting, and the application of artificial intelligence to language learning.</p>

<p style="margin-bottom:11px"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:150%"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif"><span style="font-family:" tahoma="">The international seminar <i>AI meets Language 2 </i>builds on the success of <i>AI meets Language</i> (2025), which was highly well received, and returns to provide a space for exchange and reflection on the emerging connections between applied linguistics and artificial intelligence (AI). In a context where natural language has become a central axis of technological developments, this event will bring together leading scholars from different universities to explore how AI tools are transforming language analysis.</span></span></span></span></p>

<p style="margin-bottom:11px"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:150%"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif"><span style="font-family:" tahoma="">It will be a hybrid event (held both online and in person) and free of charge for all attendees. It will take place in the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Arts at Universidad de Córdoba (Spain) and will feature six keynote lectures delivered by international experts in computational linguistics and natural language processing (NLP), machine translation, discourse analysis, language industry, terminology, and misinformation, addressing both theoretical foundations and the most recent applications of AI in language studies.</span></span></span></span></p>

<p style="margin-bottom:11px"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:150%"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif"><span style="font-family:" tahoma="">Finally, the seminar will include one roundtable discussion involving the speakers and other invited experts, providing a forum for questions and answers on the topics addressed throughout the event, as well as on the future of applied linguistics in relation to AI and its implications for research.</span></span></span></span></p>

<p data-end="459" data-start="179" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:16px;">The <strong>6</strong><strong data-end="238" data-start="183">th International Symposium on Corpora (PACOR 2027)</strong> will be hosted by the Universidad de Córdoba from <strong data-end="329" data-start="304">25 to 27 January 2027</strong>. Organised by the research group LinguaCor (HUM-1144), PACOR is a biannual international conference dedicated to corpus research.</span></p>

<p data-end="896" data-start="461" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:16px;">Since its first edition in Santiago de Compostela in 2016, originally focused on parallel corpora, PACOR has evolved into a broader forum for corpus linguistics and its intersections with translation, discourse studies, pedagogy and computational methods. Previous editions (Santiago de Compostela, Madrid, Vitoria-Gasteiz, León and Valladolid) have fostered dynamic discussion among academics and specialists in corpus-assisted research.</span></p>

<p data-end="1261" data-start="898" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:16px;">Under the theme <em><strong data-end="941" data-start="914">Re-thinking Evidence: </strong><strong data-end="677" data-start="597">Corpus Linguistics in a Changing Language Landscape</strong></em><strong data-end="941" data-start="914">, </strong> PACOR 2027 will explore how corpus linguistics is adapting to a rapidly changing research landscape shaped by AI-based resources, NLP tools and new technological advances. We particularly welcome contributions engaging with corpora and corpus-driven approaches in this evolving methodological and technological context.</span></p>
